Saddleworld Canberra began in 1978 as Triglone’s Horse Gear and is still owned by the Triglone family. Brian Triglone had a strong involvement in Hacking and then Eventing, before hanging up his spurs to concentrate on Saddleworld.
Saddleworld Canberra is dedicated to excellence in service and only employs people with experience in the horse industry, preferably with formal qualifications.
His speciality is saddle fitting which he began when no–one else was offering such a service in Canberra. Over those 27 years Brian has developed an intimate knowledge of this vital area and has attended seminars in the UK and held discussions on saddle construction and adjustment with several European saddle manufacturers during visits to Germany and Britain. Saddleworld Canberra is part of the Saddleworld Australia group of 46 independent stores which pool their resources for importing and bulk buying. The group is not a franchise in the normal sense and each store has its individual character and the freedom to buy from any source. As a result Saddleworld Canberra is able to offer, not only the exclusive Saddleworld brands of Eurohunter, Grainge, Kieffer, Anky, Pessoa and Trainers but also brands such as Weatherbeeta, Dublin, Roma, Wintec and Bates. Saddleworld Canberra also specialises in Akubra hats including their cleaning, reshaping and stretching and carries the Australian icon-Drizabone. We operate an in-store repair service on rugs and saddlery.
